It’s been a little while since we’ve hit the blog. “Wedding Season” always hits its’ peak in August, and then you wake up one day and it’s mid-January. And, although I always wonder where the last 5 months went, it’s a wonderful time to start looking back at the previous year. It’s such a blessing to see all of your accomplishments beautifully laid out in the photos received from the many talented photographers that we had the pleasure of working with. With much excitement, I am ready to share the stunning celebrations that had me all wrapped up for the second half of last year. So, here we go…
Sheila and Brinton were one of my absolute favorite couples from last year. They are one of those couples that make me wish I could plan a wedding for them every year. They are so warm and light-hearted and genuine. And, Sheila is a girl who knows what she wants – and what she wanted for her wedding was all of the girly prettiness that Brinton would allow us to sneak in. To please both sides, I believe we did a great job of balancing girly and black tie affair with this one.
Sheila and Brinton’s wedding was held at Chateau St. Jean in Sonoma and I was honored to have been selected as their Wedding Planner and Designer for their big day. With the expansive lawn overlooking the vineyards, Chateau St. Jean is a stunning palette that any creative would get excited about. With mixes of ivory, blush and a soft hint of metallics, we were able to add to the natural beauty of the venue and create a soft romantic environment where guests could dine al fresco and dance the night away {and they definitely DID dance the night away!!}.
Allison Stahl was on hand to capture the images of that day, which just warms my heart. Allison is a dear friend and always manages to capture each wedding just the way I saw it through my own eyes that day. I hope that you enjoy a little glimpse into this beautiful August Day. Warning: This will have you wishing for summer to return.
xo, Aimee
