When it comes to winter palettes, I like to go outside of the traditional color schemes and into something warm yet lively.
It’s no question that purple was one of the hottest trends in 2010, and according to the 2011 trend forecast, just one shade of this lovely color will be sticking around and that’s plum. I like the idea of livening this staple color up with bright and fresh accents in the form of teal and turquoise. It’s a very rich winter-y palette with a pop. To turn this color scheme up another notch, you can add some sparkle, a little bling and softer accents in the form of fabrics and lush flowers. Lighter, brighter accents of magenta can offer some additional pop to this palette as well.
I don’t know about you, but I kind of want to snuggle up in the middle of all of this plum yumminess!
