Plumpjack at Squaw Wedding: Jessica + Stephen

There are few places on earth more beautiful than Plumpjack at Squaw Valley. And few couples on earth as beautiful as Jessica and Steve. When Jessica and Steve walked into my office, I knew that we were a perfect match. As a matter of fact, I felt like I was going to be devastated if I didn’t book this wedding. Jessica and Steve planned an amazing destination wedding weekend getaway for their guests beginning with a rafting trip down the Truckee River on Thursday, the wedding taking place on Friday, and the guests staying through the weekend to enjoy Plumpjack’s incredible amenities. I’ve never seen such a relaxed group! It was absolutely perfect.

For their wedding day, Jessica and Steve envisioned a rustic glam design, which we accomplished with hints of glitter and dashes of Tahoe-esque elements in the form of pinecones and an amazing mountain backdrop for their ceremony. We worked together to create a design that included mixed metallics, soft blushes and crisp whites laid against the rustic mountain backdrop that Plumpjack offers. The color palette and design gave a fresh, crisp feeling to the venue and the warm August day. Once evening fell, guests were treated to an al fresco dinner under strands of white lights and the stunning Tahoe sky.

My favorite part of their wedding was the Best Man’s speech – a song, actually. It was a moment that had all 3 Chic’s crying our eyes out.
