?Ahh, the favors! It’s the one thing that everyone seems to have a little bit of a struggle with. It has become that obligatory item that everyone feels is a necessity, yet no one knows what to give their guests as a memento and thank you. Last year, the candy table was a huge craze. Why? It was an easy solution to the favor dilemma. It was also the best {easiest} way to include not only a favor, but an additional piece of decor. We enjoyed creating many candy tables/buffets last year, but it’s 2010 and here’s what we love ~ plain and simple…personalization.

Our clients Linda & Brian will be marrying this October in their beautiful back yard, right here in Sacramento. Brian loves to cook and has some amazing talent in that area. In their back yard is a gorgeous fig tree and prior to the wedding, Brian plans to harvest the tree to make preserves. Perfect favor! A little jar for each of their guests ~ a little piece of their home and their heart. These can also double as a place card. Love it!

This is just an example of one of the creative favors we love for this year. It’s thoughtful, personal, useful. Here are another few favor ideas that I love: A donation to a charitable organization in lieu of favors {you can let guests know of your donation on a little note, printed on paper with flower seeds embedded in it from Flower Seed Paper}, edible favors from one of your favorite bakeries or hand made by you, and something I will always be a fan of ~ candles. Below are some charming love nest tealights that I adore, along with a super cute favor box one of my brides will be using for her favors, traditional South American cookies, at her wedding in May!
