Incorporating something for your home into your wedding…. {love}

In 2009, we planned a wedding for Amber & Ted at Wilson Vineyards in Clarksburg. Amber came to me with one of the coolest ideas that I had heard for a wedding ceremony: getting married on a beautiful rug that would later be placed in their home. It had been a family tradition of hers that they decided to continue, and I can’t think of a better way to remind yourselves of where you stood on your wedding day as you made promises to one other.

Later that year I had suggested this idea, in a different form, to another one of our couples, Alli & Levi {see Style Me Pretty feature here} who used a runner down the aisle that could later be used in their home. I’m starting to see that this is now a growing trend and thought we’d share our uses and interpretations of this brilliant and beautiful idea, as well as a beautiful photo by Ben Blood Photography that I spied on Green Wedding Shoes today.
